Lexus IS Convertible
Saturday, September 19th, 2009
If you love long rides through the countryside then you are going the relish the 2010 Lexus IS Convertible. Imagine driving with the top down with fresh air blowing through your hair and soulful music coming out of the stereo system. Toyota is set to put two versions of the vehicle on the road – the IS 250C and the IS 350C. In both the sedans, thePowetrain choices are going to remain the same. What will change is the ultimate performance level that users get to experience, and that is because of the differences in the type of engines that these vehicles carry under their hood. The IS 250C is powered by a 2.4L V6 engine, which is capable of delivering 204 HP, while the IS 350C is geared to clock 306 HP thanks to its 3.5L V6 engine.
Both the sedans look equally handsome and conjure the right amount of menace on the road, because of their lowered stance, dished wheels and rolled exhaust tips. Constructed from lightweight aluminum, the three-panel roof structure in these sedans do a marvelous job of achieving smooth, quiet retraction; it also helps provide compact packaging and convenient luggage space. In fact, the top can disappear in just twenty seconds. Watching it fold away is half the fun. Every body panel, with the exception of the hood, has been designed to blend seamlessly with the roof.
When changing between coupe and convertible configurations, the novel exterior design is capable of leading you into dynamic and unique styling. The MarkLevinson Stereo Surround Sound Audio System is capable of adjusting the sound depending on whether the top is up or down. With novel features like these it’s no wonder that Lexus has such a huge fan following.
